2025 國際量子與AI技術之生醫科學研討會
緣起
2024年諾貝爾物理及化學獎都與AI人工智慧有關,本中心之目標:「影像與量子預測計算及人工智慧的結合,將促使精準疾病判讀、成因、以及預測等工作得以實現。」,都顯示了人類追求的目標是一致的,希望能解決複雜的生命現象,達到增進人類健康和疾病治療之創藥、治療、診斷與臨床應用。因此希望藉此良機,舉行「2025 International Conference on Quantum & AI Technologies in Biomedical Science 2025 國際量子與AI技術之生醫科學研討會」,除了邀請標竿中心成員外,另外再邀請國內、外知名專家學者進行學術研究與經驗分享交換,聚集學研能量並展示國內的先進量子計算、前瞻生醫影像、多體學技術與人工智慧等領域之研究實力與努力成果,提升臺灣相關學術地位。「2025 International Conference on Quantum & AI Technologies in Biomedical Science 2025 國際量子與AI技術之生醫科學研討會」訂於114年4月7日至9日於臺灣大學博理館演講廳舉行,三天的會議安排多場主題不同的講座及研究分享,同時也徵求學生海報投稿並將審查後於議期間安排壁報展示,預計現場將會蒞臨百位國內、外專家學者,期待能因此讓臺灣再次成為國際的眾目焦點,並帶動相關領域及產業發展。
舉辦目的
2024年諾貝爾化學獎由開發出蛋白質設計系統的美國生物化學家貝克(David Baker)以及開發出可精準預測蛋白質結構的人工智慧科學家哈薩比斯(Demis Hassabis)及瓊珀(John Jumper)共享,其預言若AI設計藥物若可行,20年內多數疾病可治癒;諾貝爾物理學獎得主法國學者艾斯佩特(Alain Aspect)近期至臺灣大學以「兩次量子革命:從概念到應用」為題發表演講,表示量子電腦具有的量子優勢,除了可以做更複雜的計算,更大的優勢是用更少的電。以上皆與本中心致力推動的目標相關:
(1) 運用多體學資料宏觀地探究細胞的命運和動態變化而瞭解發育、老化和疾病生成的原因。
(2) 利用量子計算有別於古典運算的機制,發揮巨量資料處理的優勢以及加速運算的能力。
(3) 生醫影像結合多體學資訊經過計算分析之後,有助於瞭解分子在細胞和組織的重要性,並透過影像判讀與分析來更加清楚分子的運作模式和動態變化。
(4) 影像與量子預測計算及人工智慧的結合,將促使精準疾病判讀、成因、以及預測等工作得以實現。
此次國立臺灣大學主辦「2025 International Conference on Quantum & AI Technologies in Biomedical Science 2025 國際量子與AI技術之生醫科學研討會」,希望藉由國際會議的展開,邀請多位國、內外優秀學者齊聚,探討量子計算與人工智慧應用在生物醫學的效應及未來發展,並希冀提升與整合目前臺灣在學術研究上關於影像、生物資訊、人工智慧、數學、物理和量子化學探究動態生物系統等研究能量,以解決複雜的生命現象,達到增進人類健康和疾病治療之創藥、治療、診斷與臨床應用。
期以此次會議之舉辦邀請先進量子計算、前瞻生醫影像、多體學技術與人工智慧領域之專家提供最新的概念及研究方法,建立國內外相關領域團體之聯繫與合作機會,並整合研究資源,與世界各國專業領域研究學者作經驗交流,提供年輕學子參與及觀摩國際會議的機會,從中獲得最新的理論知識及研究方法,並能與國際頂尖研究人員面對面交流。
本會將邀請各國代表從理論、研究經驗及實務進行分享,集結研究量能,對於年輕學子有與國際優秀研究人才交流的機會,並瞭解自身優勢與不足處;而對於國外學者或是臺灣學研界來說,不同研究領域間有難得的機會可以互動與交流,聚集先進量子計算、前瞻生醫影像、多體學技術與人工智慧領域等學門研究人士的盛會,跨領域的交流研究希望能激盪更多嶄新思維。不僅聚焦與提昇能見度,並可媒合未來與國際頂尖團隊間,不管是學術單位、政府部門或是業界,都能有開創性的合作,亦能對研究結合各相關領域應用有所裨益。
